We are hard at work preparing our Fall IWS Canada Magazine, in the meantime we will post our call for the next Member’s Challenge, the photo chosen by previous winner, Abdulla Naseeb Nuckchady .
This one is a water themed painting, suggested study would be with Inna Nagaytseva ‘s workshop starting Sept 15th to improve your water painting techniques. the winner will be voted on at our October 27th Sunday meeting.
The winner will receive a set of Blueberry Watercolour paints from Rockwell.
Deadline for submission is October 1st, 2024


UPDATE: Inna Nagaytseva ‘s workshop intensive, Sept 15, 21 and 22nd will start at 8pm EST (Toronto/Montreal time) (6pm Alberta, 5pm Vancouver)
Day 1: You will learn how to paint sailboats at daylight, have right proportions and use a limited palette
Day 2: Sailboat in sea with sunset, work in 2 layers maximum

Hi there! The day has finally arrived!
We can’t wait to meet those of you who will be dropping off paintings tomorrow (Thursday Sept 5th) for our show, at Visual Arts Mississauga. 4170 Riverwood Park Lane Mississauga ON L5C 2S7
Please come as early as you can so we can get your painting up on the wall for our visitors to see. (We open at 9am)
Another note, we will be holding our official opening ceremony at the end of the day on Friday instead of Thursday. (around 3:45pm)
Join us for the ribbon cutting, speeches by Ian Wright and Luan Quach, and light snacks and refreshments.
f you can’t make it, don’t worry, the show runs until Sunday at 4pm, when people may take down their paintings and we will go for dinner to celebrate the end of another great show! Can’t wait to see you there!
