my name is Alice Bottrill and I work and teach in my home studio in North Vancouver, BC. Living in this very active art community gives me the opportunity to work with the local watercolour artists from time to time, and compare with artists working on acrylic and oil. we are still the minority, however, but we are definitely growing!! More watercolours are being accepted by the local galleries and community exhibitions. People are falling in love with watercolour once they try it!! I truly enjoy being a member of IWS Canada and as an area rep. The IWS Youth program is getting on to a very good start, we have 4 kids coming monthly for regular classes. our IWS members in BC increased from 3 to 13 within the last month, so I am looking forward to a future event where we can meet up with members in other area to share the joy of watercolour painting in the future.
