Yesterday, the leaders of the Canadian Branch of the International Watercolor Society, and the leaders of the Canadian Society Of Painters in Water Colour, gathered together in person and via Skype and telephone, to discuss a BIG joint project we have coming up next year – namely, an international watercolour festival and exhibition, or Biennale. Lots of great ideas were discussed, and the progress that has already been made on many of them was reviewed. There is lots of work to be done but we have a very diligent and enthusiastic team.
Soon, we will reveal all of our plans and the excitement can begin for everyone! In the meantime, we are looking for sponsors and filling out grant applications, to make this the best event possible.
We are so pleased to have received over 40,000 views of our contest results video on Facebook, and over 30,000 views of our website since October 1st. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in this way!
Below are just a few photos of the people who attended the meeting in person. A few of the directors Elizabeth Irvine, Helen Shideler, Tiina Price and Rose Butler also attended via skype and telephone.
