Greetings to all our Friends of IWS Canada,
As vice-president and president of IWS Canada, Elizabeth and I would like to thank you all for being part of an exceptionally exciting 2017. Elizabeth and I would also like to thank our hard working IWS Canada Directors Helen Shideler, Anne McCartney, Lianne Todd, Tiina Price and Rose Butler without whose time and effort we would not have had such a successful year.
Our ‘150 Ways to Celebrate’ online competition, in honour of Canada’s 150th birthday, was a huge success with over 1,400 entries worldwide and 150 finalists selected from all corners of the world. This definitely embraces our mission of love, peace, tolerance and acceptance of all cultures. A colourful and inspiring video was produced which has been viewed over 43,000 times on social media plus another 34,000 times on our website! If you haven’t already seen it be sure to check it out!
We are now looking forward to next year and are busily planning our 2018 Symphony in Watercolour Festival! We will be inviting you all to a week of celebration in Richmond Hill, Ontario, from September 28th- October 3rd, SO SAVE THE DATES!!!
Being part of IWS Canada has been rewarding and exciting. If you are interested in being more involved you can now become, not just a Friend of IWS Canada, but a full Member. For only $25 CDN ($15 for youth) Our new full members will be entitled to many benefits. Visit our membership page for complete information on how to apply.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best of the Holiday Season, that you have peace, joy, love and acceptance in your everyday life and that your 2018 is happy, healthy, prosperous and successful.
